I started My Earth Garden because I am an avid gardener and freelance writer with a love for growing things and I wanted the opportunity to share that love with as many people as possible. Before long I realized that it was about more than just a love for gardening and I began to include thoughts on taking care of the Earth as though the entire planet was our garden.
Because it is.
My own gardening journey started before I could even walk. My mother loves to tell the story of how I once partook of a fistful of spring onions before she noticed, and that when she did try to take them away, I cried until she returned them. For the record, I was only months old at the time.
What is this site about?
The purpose of My Earth Garden is to remove some of the stigmas that are attached to gardening and to make it possible for virtually anyone, anywhere to grow something. Too many gardening websites seem to focus on people who already have tons of growing experience, and this disenfranchises would-be gardeners who lack the basic knowledge necessary to turn their thumbs green. For that reason, I am here to make a concerted effort to answer any and all garden-related questions from both beginner and expert alike.
