Arp is the only “more hardy” variety that I am personally familiar with, but it will also depend on the specific microclimate where you live. Most Rosemary varieties are only winterhardy to zone 7.

Do steaks any old way you do a steak, toss sliced mushrooms, sliced onion, and butter into a pan and sautee with a few sprigs of Rosemary in there. Dump it onto steak. Also will mince up a bunch with large grain sea salt and use that as a rub for beefy goodness.
